Heritage and coastal home painting in Devonport
Painting & Decorating in Devonport
Devonport is a historic seaside village with one of Auckland’s finest collections of Victorian and Edwardian homes. Painting these character properties well — in a coastal setting — takes real skill and patience.
Devonport’s heritage villas and cottages combine ornate timber detailing with constant exposure to sea air. Thorough preparation and durable, exposure-appropriate coatings are essential to protect these homes and keep them looking immaculate.
Steve Lunjevich brings over 20 years of experience and a national trade qualification to Devonport’s character homes. He brushes weatherboards top-down, stops only at natural breaks, always works over drop sheets, and manages lead paint safely on older properties.
From full heritage exterior repaints to interior refreshes and specialty finishes, you deal directly with Steve on every Devonport job.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you specialise in heritage homes in Devonport?
Yes. Devonport’s Victorian and Edwardian homes are exactly the kind of character work we love — careful preparation of timber detailing and finishes that preserve the home’s heritage.
How does the coastal location affect painting?
Sea air accelerates wear on exterior coatings, so we prepare thoroughly and use durable, exposure-appropriate systems to maximise the life of every repaint.

“Had Lunjevich Decorators (Steve) paint my roof and was very impressed with the end result. He fixed any damage before painting which was great. The roof was so good I had Steve come back and paint my house which looks fantastic. I am really impressed with the quality and care put into his work and have just had my bathroom, dining and kitchen painted by him.”
