House Painters in Ponsonby
Character home painting for Ponsonby’s villas and bungalows
Painting & Decorating in Ponsonby
Ponsonby is famous for its beautifully preserved villas and bungalows lining leafy streets just minutes from the city. Keeping these character homes looking their best takes a painter who understands older timber construction and the preparation it demands.
The classic Ponsonby villa — weatherboard cladding, decorative fretwork, bay windows and ornate verandahs — is one of the most rewarding homes to repaint well, and one of the least forgiving if corners are cut. Proper surface preparation is everything.
Steve Lunjevich has restored and repainted character homes across central Auckland for over 20 years. On exteriors he brushes weatherboards top-down, stops only at natural breaks to avoid visible lap marks, and always protects your property with drop sheets.
From a single feature wall inside to a full heritage exterior repaint, Ponsonby homeowners get the same careful, trade-qualified approach and direct access to Steve throughout the job.

“Had Lunjevich Decorators (Steve) paint my roof and was very impressed with the end result. He fixed any damage before painting which was great. The roof was so good I had Steve come back and paint my house which looks fantastic. I am really impressed with the quality and care put into his work and have just had my bathroom, dining and kitchen painted by him.”
